"I'll huff and I'll puff!"
In class, we have been learning all about the traditional story 'The Three Little Pigs'. The children were excited to read traditional tales with a twist such as 'The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig' and 'The true story of the Three Little Pigs'.
We have had lots of fun role-playing different characters and using our imagination to come up with new characters that follow the same repeated pattern as the original story.
In Maths we have been focusing on 'Fractions' and how we can find halves and quarters. The children have been working hard to remember to use mathematical words such as the numerator and denominator!
In History, we have created our very own knowledge organiser all about Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Did you know that Florence Nightingale wrote to him asking for his help?
In Science this past week we have looked at comparing different types of leaves and using our leaf identifiers to track down the name of the tree that it belongs to. We have many young scientists on our hands.
Our Star of the week on Friday 29th April was Isla! A big well done to you, for your fantastic story writing and for always coming into school with a big smile on your face.
